New LIVE funeral webcast service now available to Betts clients
We are pleased to announce that we are one of the first funeral homes in NZ to offer LIVE funeral webcasting.
This service is available in conjunction with absentfriends.com
The feedback we have received from client families so far has been outstanding. This service helps remove the barriers of distance at a very emotional and significant time.

Work & Income Funeral Grant Increase
As from April 1st 2010 the Work & Income Funeral Grant has been increased to $1855.75
You may get a Funeral Grant if you are either:
- the partner, spouse, child, parent or guardian of the deceased person
- arranging the funeral of someone with no partner, spouse or child.
How much of this grant can you get?
This depends on what money or assets the deceased person had.
If you are their partner, spouse, parent or guardian it also depends on:
- how much you earn
- any money or assets you have.
